Wellness Wednesday: The Power of Thought & The Overwhelm Trap 💜🌿
Part 4
Out of the nine toxic emotions we’ve discussed, can you guess which two are the most common? If you guessed Anxiety and Overwhelm,
you are exactly right.
These two are deeply interconnected and can wreak havoc on your mood and physical health. If left unchecked, they lead to burnout, over-stressed adrenals, and eventually apathy or depression. A burned-out body leads to a burned-out mind.
The Mind-Body Connection
Your thoughts are incredibly powerful things. Our outward experiences are largely dictated by our thoughts—and our thoughts are heavily influenced by our mood.
I’d like you to take a moment and honestly answer these questions for yourself:
- Do you believe you can improve your health?
- What is your current body image—and do you believe you can change it?
- Are your thoughts throughout the day mostly happy?
- How do you talk to yourself? Is your self-talk positive, or is it self-deprecating?
Mindset as a Healthy Choice
The way you think has a direct effect on what you expect to get out of life. Your actions will attract the things you continually think about. Working on your mindset is a healthy choice that has a direct, positive impact on your emotional wellbeing, your mood, and your quality of life.
